I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…I love pattern hacking. Simplicity’s Pattern Hacking collection hasn’t disappointed me yet. The four base patterns are blank canvas for your creativity and can be used to create a full wardrobe with dresses, tops, cardigans and pants.
Hi Ya’ll. I love home décor but I hate shopping for it. I mean, nothing is worse than having a vision and it not being realized all because some retailer doesn’t have what you like. Well, the good thing about home décor is just like clothes, you can do-it-yourself.
Now I have been meaning to update the decorative pillows in my den for two years now but I just couldn’t find the right color palette. It wasn’t a big deal because there were other things I had been meaning to add to the area like a rug, wall decor, etc. Well, I finally found a rug that encompassed all the colors in my palette. But then, those ugly pillows (that came with my sectional) seemed to stand out like a sore thumb.

Don’t worry, I’ll keep it short and sweet. 😉 Continue reading
Hi Ya’ll. For the past few weeks, little by little, I have been working on recreating a Dior dress from Kandi Buruss’ Instagram page. It’s a denim dress with a semi-fitted bodice, exposed zipper and gathered skirt. My favorite part of the dress is the applique on the upper bodice. It makes the dress pop and elevates the casual silhouette.
Since I didn’t have a similar pattern on hand, I decided to draft my own pattern for this recreation. In this post, I’m going to share with you my some tips and tricks of my pattern drafting methods.
